SadGrid is a vibe-coded outage dashboard.

I built this because I was tired of guessing if outages were getting better or worse. It is a friendly pulse for anyone stuck refreshing outage pages.

Who built this?

I am an engineer who likes building fast, playful tools.

Origin story

The first version was one-shot on day 2 of a 4-day outage.

I wanted to see if the outage count was dropping so I could tell if crews were making progress.

Respect for PG&E

PG&E has a hard job, and they are cool.

The workers are awesome.

Why outages here?

I live in a forest with early-1900s power infrastructure.

Trees love to fall into overhead lines.

Meanwhile...

Friends a few miles inland never lose power.

I am not bitter. Mostly.
